PII possesses a
state-of-the art laser alignment tool for use in aligning rotating
equipment. The proper alignment of machines is critical to
long reliable performance. Improper alignment can be a major
cause of equipment down time and lost production. In addition,
our alignment tool can be set up to monitor machine position
dynamically. Instead of performing "hot alignment"
checks, which can be dangerous and difficult, the true positions of
the machines to be determined during any operating thermal
cycles. Knowing the real operating machine positions allows us
to position the equipment in the most optimal settings for all
